The Field Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate compliant and optimized management of Strykers consignment and field inventory at customer sites. You will be responsible for executing the annual inventory plan coordinating with hospitals and internal teams performing detailed product counts and analysing discrepancies to improve stock accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Execute field inventory counts across hospitals and clinics for sterile implants non-sterile implants and instrument sets
Co-develop the annual inventory count plan with the manager assessing account priorities customer risk levels and operational constraints to optimize efficiency and coverage.
Manage and coordinate appointments with hospital logistics teams operating room staff and Stryker sales representatives ensuring minimal disruption to clinical activity.
Perform detailed reconciliations by comparing physical counts with system data identifying variances and conducting root-cause analysis with both customers and sales teams.
Execute inventory adjustments (transfers corrections write-offs expiries) in Oracle using the AIM platform ensuring full accuracy and audit compliance.
Produce and share reports summarizing count results discrepancies expiration risk and recommended actions with internal stakeholders and customers.
Identify opportunities for inventory optimization such as reducing excess stock improving rotationn avoiding expiries and present data-driven recommendations.
Act as Strykers representative during site visits maintaining strong professional conduct and developing trust-based relationships to support long-term partnerships.
Who you are
Essential requirements :
Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management field operations or hospital logistics ideally with responsibility for physical stock counts and reconciliation
Professional experience in the medical device healthcare or hospital environment with understanding of sterile vs non-sterile materials traceability and clinical logistics
Proven ability to work under strict compliance frameworks including ISO standards audit processes or regulated documentation.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships with hospital staff sales teams and cross-functional colleagues
Fluency in Dutch and English both for customer-facing communication and internal collaboration
Willingness and ability to travel frequently (around 80%) across the Benelux region
Preferred requirements :
Previous experience working with medical implants surgical instruments or regulated healthcare products with understanding of expiration risks and handling requirements
Good level of French highly appreciated for interactions in Belgium
Strong command of Microsoft Office and hands-on experience using ERP systems
Bachelors degree in business logistics supply chain biomedical engineering or equivalent professional formation
Ability to support training onboarding or coaching of junior team members or new colleagues
