About the role

As the Commissioning Manager you will lead and manage a team of test and commissioning professionals across multiple projects for Evo Energy in the ACT. This role focuses on delivering high-quality outcomes while ensuring strict adherence to safety standards and project timelines. You will oversee planning resource allocation and execution of commissioning activities driving efficiency and compliance with industry best practices. Strong leadership technical expertise and stakeholder engagement are essential to achieve successful project delivery and maintain Evo Energys reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Leading and supervising commissioning personnel across multiple projects including performance reviews and development programs.
  • Collaborating with operational and project management teams to optimize team utilization and resource allocation.
  • Managing commissioning delivery including documentation testing outage planning/execution and contractor engagement.
  • Contributing to tender preparation commissioning documentation development and arranging technical training sessions.
  • Ensuring compliance with Zinfra policies safety standards and reporting requirements while minimizing risk.
  • Administering network authority requirements and maintaining oversight across all projects for quality and safety.
  • Building strong client relationships and identifying early involvement and business development opportunities.

The ideal candidate profile will demonstrate

Exceptional leadership and technical capability in managing commissioning activities across complex high-voltage projects. They will be resilient detail-oriented and collaborative with advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor others. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement will underpin their success in delivering safe efficient and high-quality outcomes.

  • Leading commissioning teams on complex high-voltage substation projects.
  • Managing outage planning and execution while ensuring compliance with safe systems of work.
  • Developing and implementing resource management and team development strategies.
  • Preparing project estimations documentation and technical reports for large-scale projects.
  • Applying expertise in protection and control systems within Victorian power networks.
