Responsibilities
- The Nurse Clinician role for this position in Oncology Quality is applied to the Multidisciplinary Cancer (MDC) Conference Program.
- Functions in a clinical leadership role in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team as a clinical expert. Facilitates the preplanning process for oncology case submission to assigned MDC conferences hosts virtual conferences and documents treatment plan discussions along with required accreditation elements.
- Fosters compliance with practice guidelines participates as an active member of clinical pathway working groups and maintains the established standards of care and practice through physician communication clinical improvement activities and staff education.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
- Must hold Certified in American Heart Associations Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION
PREFERRED
- BSN degree
- Two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the clinical specialty.
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS PALS NRP etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
