Job Summary: | This is a part-time ORP Retiree Staff position. The position will be responsible for analyzing cash balances reconciling expenditures assisting in subrecipient monitoring preparing/processing journal entries and processing payroll expense transfers and monthly funding distribution updates/entries for all sponsored projects. Coordinating the submission of Submit Scope of Work forms to Employee Services. Establishing correct funding and personnel effort for each sponsored project and managing subcontracts and purchase orders as needed by the Department. Key Responsibilities: Maintain grant database and other databases as needed Help with automation of reports Process payroll expense transfers (PETs) Process journal entries (JEs) Process monthly funding distribution entries Facilitate the submission of subcontract amendments and oversee the process until fully executed amendments are issued Coordinate the submission of Submit Scope of Work forms to Employee Services and submit corresponding purchase order requests to EMEDs procurement specialist Projects as assigned | |

Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting business administration finance or other closely related field from an accredited institution. Two (2) years of professional grant and contract experience. Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree on a year for year basis but not for the specific experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Info Ed Proposal Development System or similar grant submission software. Familiarity with CU Data A2E HCM and CU Marketplace. Experience working in an academic environment or medical center. Proficiency with PeopleSoft (HRMS &/or Finance). Grant and/or contract experience both pre and post. Research administration experience. Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information. Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheets word processing email and calendar software. Ability to tolerate a high degree of ambiguity yet work effectively to fulfill the mission goals and objectives of the department. Ability to understand and interpret complex guidelines and regulations for salary caps facilities and administrative cost calculations funding restrictions. | |

Anticipated Pay Range: | The salary for this position has been established at $36/hour. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
