HID is seeking an experienced professional to provide guidance expertise and leadership in optimization of the manufacturing methods and processes to manufacture company products to high level satisfaction while ensuring that the companys standards around Safety Quality Delivery and Cost are upheld. This role assumes an excellent knowledge base of lean manufacturing principles and prior continuous improvement experience coupled with a can do attitude to enable continuous development of the department in an ever-changing business environment.

As our Manufacturing Engineer youll support HIDs successby:

• Providing primary support within the HID Cypress distribution center (DC) to Productions (assembly and test areas) issues and requests in the spirit of Continuous Improvement.
• Supporting Design for Manufacturability (DFM) review process for New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives assist in Launch Verification Readiness Test (LRVT).
• Participating in the procurement start-up and integration of new tooling and capital equipment to support production and facility enhancements as required.
• Developing documented guidelines work instructions (WRI) and training for manufacturing processes and/or equipment (tooling fixturing gages etc) introduction as needed.
• Obtaining a good grasp of the current and any new Operations Solutions and IT to provide low level/immediate support to enable fulfillment.
• Identifying and investigating new technologies to refine manufacturing processes that a) reduce operating costs and scrap b) improve quality (First-Pass yield) and safety.
• Collaborating with HID functional orgs across the globe to drive short-term and long-term solutions and improvements to achieve goals outlined as part of Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE).
• Reviewing and updating processes and manufacturing documentation of current products as a result of process and engineering design changes to ensure ISO compliance.
• Reviewing creating and implementing Engineering (ECO) Manufacturing (MCO) or Documentation (DCN) change orders in a timely manner.
• Evaluating and maintaining time standards that result in increased productivity and precision.

YourExperienceand Background include:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a PCBA production environment is required.
• Background of Electrical Electronic and Mechanical production machinery is essential.
• Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings Bills of Material (BOM) tech journals specifications international technical standards etc.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and respect for others time.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and data presentation skills.
• Excellent knowledge of ISO9001 standards and commitment to its adherence.
• Experience in lean methodology is required inc. Process Mapping 5S etc.
• Quality and detail oriented with a highly collaborative nature.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
• Comfortable with navigating a matrixed organization with many stakeholders in various time zones.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational disclosed range does not account for geographic differentials based on the location where the position may be filled. At HID it is uncommon for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. Final compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each case.

The base salary for CA is $88000 to $93000.
