As a member of the architecture team the selected candidate will work on various aspects of Xanadus logical architecture. This includes investigating methods for preparing fault-tolerant logical magic states designing and evaluating QEC codes developing new theory and numerical/software tools and providing theory support for experimental demos. The candidate will be a part of a large research team and will work closely with other experts.
Basic qualifications and experience:
PhD in Physics CS Math or other relevant field with a specialization in some aspect of fault-tolerant quantum computation
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Research experience in industry or as a postdoc
Expertise in protocols for preparing logical magic states and/or fault-tolerant application of non-Clifford gates
Expertise in designing/tailoring quantum error correcting codes
Familiarity with measurement-based quantum computation
Familiarity with quantum optics and/or bosonic encodings (GKPs)
Willingness to relocate to Toronto Canada
This is for an existing base salary will be determined based on your location experience and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 120000 - 140000 CAD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
