Job Summary
Schedule
4:00am - 12:30pm or until job is complete days worked are Thursday Friday and Sunday.
Part-time position must be available to work weekends/Sundays
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:.
- Perform routine kitchen tasks.
- Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables cutting meat and other meal prep.
- Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads and entrees.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes sanitizing surfaces and taking out trash.
- Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
- Strictly adhere to our Quality Assurance guidelines.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
Qualifications :
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- Able to read in English and mix recipes for food service items.
- Basic math skills - addition subtraction multiplication fractions
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Able to use kitchen equipment as necessary in preparation of food service items.
- High organizational skills with extreme attention to detail
- Able to read a thermometer correctly and accurately.
- Able to accurately count and weigh all incoming product and compare to order sheet; notify supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Must check product(s) to ensure quality of food product (i.e.: freshness color shape temperature and proper size specifications)
- Must be able to accurately store label and date all incoming food product to insure maximum shelf life.
- Able to work independently without supervision.
- Able read write communicate and work well with others
- Must be able to work Sundays
