Key Responsibilities
- Define ETCS implementation principles in line with European guidelines.
- Ensure application and compliance with ETCS standards across signaling projects.
- Maintain system consistency and support the ETCS system lead.
- Identify and update operational functional and safety requirements for ETCS.
- Translate requirements into implementation specifications for the Belgian railway network.
- Assist project managers in analyzing anomalies during ETCS deployment and propose improvements.
- Conduct detailed studies and associated tests for new ETCS functionalities or implementation principles.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering (electromechanics electricity electronics or automation).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in signaling or ETCS systems.
- Proven knowledge of railway signaling principles and ETCS standards (TSI/Subsets).
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with a solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey clear messages to teams.
- Ability to learn and master complex topics autonomously.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in ETCS system principles and European standards.
- Familiarity with signaling systems and interoperability requirements.
Languages
- French: Very good proficiency (spoken and written).
- English: Good proficiency (reading writing speaking).
Soft Skills
- Conceptual and analytical mindset.
- Clear and transparent communication.
- Proactive eager to learn and autonomous.
