Job Summary

The New Century School is an independent language-immersion (Spanish/Chinese) preschool8th grade in the heart of historic Fells Point. We are known for joyful creative and intellectually rich classrooms where children thrive in a warm nurturing and culturally vibrant community.

Due to an unexpected opening we are immediately seeking an outstanding experienced Lead Primary Teacher (ages 35) to join our team for the remainder of the school year with strong potential for a long-term role.

A passionate creative educator with experience with children ages 35
Proven skill in designing and delivering engaging hands-on lessons that spark curiosity and foster independence
A warm collaborative professional who excels at building strong partnerships with children families and colleagues
Someone energized by a multilingual multicultural environment and committed to social-emotional as well as academic growth

Key Responsibilities

Plan and lead dynamic child-centered daily lessons and projects
Create and maintain a safe organized and aesthetically beautiful classroom that inspires exploration and wonder
Track and document each childs progress; conduct parent conferences and write thoughtful progress reports
Mentor and guide assistant teachers fostering a cohesive and supportive team
Communicate proactively and warmly with families through newsletters conferences and daily updates
Partner with parents to help them understand and support their childs developmental journey
