The Salary Range for our Inspector 2 job is $18.00-$21.00 per hour. Refer to the job description below:
Summary/Objective: Responsible for performing visual and gauge inspection of plastic parts.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs first piece in process and final inspection to blueprint specifications
- Verifies parts are compliant with process sheet specifications
- Visually inspects parts for cosmetic imperfections such as flash voids texture gloss
- level etc. and makes minor corrections as necessary
- Verifies correct number placement and proper depth of inserts
- Regardless of location(s) of quality inspection tasks quality checks and recheck on rework are conducted documented and communicated to supervisor and direct manager.
- If an item/good continually fails quality checks all documented reflects this communication to supervisor and direct manager is essential as decisions meetings and communication from an MRB standpoint occur.
- Documents actions by completing all required paperwork and quality logs.
- Adheres to all safety policies and practices consistently uses personal protective equipment and practices good housekeeping.
- Maintains regular on time attendance and adheres to company policies procedures and standards of conduct.
- Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system.
- Applies classroom and on the job post training information knowledge skills and abilities consistently in a quality-oriented manner (wherein the KSAs are part of the jobs tasks duties and other tasks as requested).
- Performs other tasks as directed.
Educational Experience Based and Skill Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with good math skills and ability to read blueprints. 6 months experience in a quality inspection capacity preferred. Foundry machining company or injection molding background preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic math & Geometry/Trigonometry
- Flexibility based on plant product schedules
- A minimum of 6 months previous experience using a computer and measuring instruments preferred
- Testing on inspection and measurement is a prerequisite for this position.
- CMM machine experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Conceptual Skills and good hand eye coordination to inspect parts.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk remain on feet for extended time periods reach stoop. Kneel and lift up to and including 35 pounds as needed. Visual abilities and manual dexterity. Requires close distance color and peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to continually adjust focus.
