As part of the ESA/ESTEC team you will have the following responsibilities:
- Assessment and coordination of the technical requests stemming from the contracts with the ESA Commercialisation partners (ESA BICs Brokers Ambassadors Philabs) as well as requests to use ESA patents;
- Building intelligence reports on innovation trends and on new space activities: this involves:
- Keeping track on latest market trends emerging technologies key players partnerships and patent filings;
- Interacting with the industry and ESA programmes to analyse the competitive landscape within the newspace industry their strategies and market barriers;
- Developing scenarios and strategic plans for potential future funding opportunities within the newspace industry and helping ESA to make informed decisions in this dynamic and evolving industry;
- Support Country Management in implementation of contracts with Commercialisation partners (BIC Brokers Philabs and others): this includes:
- coordination of activities
- assessments of proposals
- following work and providing support to the commercialisation partners
- interacting with industry supported and relevant stakeholders in the frame of these contracts;
- Identifying opportunities for cooperation and establishing collaboration with promising start-ups and scale-up ventures on activities and programmes across the Agency together with the relevant ESA directorate representatives;
- Assessing industrial proposals and business plans concerning business and commercialisation aspects across the Agency;
- building technology/know-how/business descriptions stemming out of ESA commercialisation activities;
- Develop ESA Commercialisation network;
- Contribute to other activities of the Commercialisation department as required
Qualifications :
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- Master in Science Engineering in a space relevant technical field;
- Track record in technology or business consulting or project management experience;
- Previous experience in business administration or technology assessment would be an asset;
- Familiarity with the services provided by ESA would be an asset;
- Understanding the needs and expectations of the Commercialisation Department and the mission of the European Space Agency would be an advantage;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
Additional Information :
This job can be located in Noordwijk the Netherlands or Harwell UK.
