We are looking for a Consultant to work alongside our team of technical experts in a multi-faceted role including technical research project delivery and business development.
Youll be given a unique opportunity to develop all-round experience in the radioactive waste management nuclear decommissioning and disposal industry. Youll work in small teams alongside world-class experts and be given ample opportunities to develop expertise and grow into the role early in your career.
Youll have the opportunity to provide services to clients on an international basis and deliver high-quality projects while building and maintaining strong client and project team relationships.
Key responsibilities will include:
Delivery and support on quality technical projects in a timely cost-effective manner in accordance with regulations and internal procedures.
Delivery of written work and research on a wide range of industry regulatory and policy projects in the UK and overseas.
Presenting research and findings to clients.
Managing projects in accordance with company standards and guidelines (training provided).
Qualifications :
Essential requirements:
BSc or equivalent in quantitative earth sciences applied mathematics physics chemistry or engineering.
Demonstratable and practical experience being part of a project team in support of delivering technical projects including using research techniques in accordance with industry regulatory and policy within the UK
Ability to deliver high-quality work with excellent attention to detail within tight deadlines.
Excellent time management prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
Excellent presentation interpersonal and communication skills using English language.
Desirable skills and experience:
MSc or PhD in quantitative earth sciences applied mathematics physics chemistry or engineering or a BSc or equivalent alongside relevant experience.
Understanding of radioactive waste management planning/options assessment disposal nuclear safety and related fields.
Computational modelling for example of groundwater flow gas transfer and/or contaminant transport in geological media using software such as GoldSim COMSOL etc.
Familiarity with radiological risk assessment environmental safety case development and/or criticality safety assessment.
Project management experience.
Coding skills (e.g. Python C).
