Handyperson

Pullman Sydney Hyde Park is looking for a motivated and reliable Handyperson to join our Engineering team on a full time this role you will help maintain the hotels facilities ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and our team members.

What will you be doing

• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing painting HVAC and general upkeep of hotel facilities.
• Ensure all guest rooms public areas and service areas are in excellent working order.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel equipment machinery and systems to identify potential issues.
• Maintain inventory of tools supplies and materials and requests replacements as necessary.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for special events or room configurations.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with hotel staff to address urgent maintenance concerns.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this you will ideally have previous experience working in hotels and painting skills are highly regarded. You will be a self-motivated person who takes a proactive approach to work and you will be punctual and reliable. You will have experience in operating a variety of equipment including small hand tools and will have good written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work a range of shifts will also be critical for the successful applicant.
