NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly efficiently and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.

DOFs Treasury and Payment Services Division is responsible for overseeing all City payment websites the payment processing of tax returns property recording forms parking violation programs and the collection of delinquent accounts and oversees the agencys management of the Citys cash balances and its relationships with banking institutions. Treasury and Payment Services is also responsible for collecting outstanding violations issued by City agencies and adjudicated by the Environmental Control Board.

Payments Billing and Refunds is responsible for processing payments for property taxes and property-related charges business and excise taxes and parking and camera violations. The division is responsible for communicating amounts due maintaining the quality of departmental records and providing customer service to individuals seeking information on making payments or receiving refunds. Payments Billing and Refunds performs account adjustments and respond to refund inquiries from the public.

The Parking Operations Unit within the Payments Billing & Refunds Division is seeking a responsible individual to respond to internal and external inquiries regarding camera violations. The selected candidate will be a liaison between DOF and camera violation issuers NYC DOT and the MTA and their respective vendors in handling camera violation inquiries and issues.

Reporting to the Business Analyst for the Parking Operations Unit specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

-Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding camera violations.
-Reach out to customers with issues related to camera violations and coordinate the resolution of the issues.
-Coordinate with DOT and FIT to assist in the resolution of issues related to camera violations.
-Coordinate with DOT and their vendor in access for DOF users to DOTs camera violation online platform.
-Track issues related to camera violations.
-Investigate causes of issues related to camera violations.
-Assist external agencies with requests for camera violation data.
-Assist with system testing related to enhancements with camera violation systems.
-Alert managers/supervisors about camera violation issues and concerns to improve DOF processes and systems and correct system production issues.
-Review camera violation withdrawals by DOT and inform internal DOF units.
-Perform ad hoc tasks as needed within Parking Operations.

PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOC - 10124


Qualifications :

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in 1 above; or
3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a States department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in 1 above;
4. Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 2 or 3 above. However all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in 1 above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in 1 above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.
