Job Description:

Position Summary:

The VMD Regional Lead will be responsible for operational excellence initiatives within the region focusing on the management and enhancement of our supplier master data. This pivotal role will encompass supplier onboarding and maintenance ensuring data quality and maintaining compliance with global procurement policies.

The roles scope of responsibilities include:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead the execution of VMD initiatives in the region ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Act as a point of contact for vendor data inquiries and provide support for cross-departmental projects.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to improve the quality and accuracy of master data ensuring seamless business operations.

  • Implement best practices and standardized processes to improve efficiency and quality.

Operational Governance Audit Reporting

  • Oversee VMD KPI targets and prepare E2E metric reports for leadership to assess team performance and any support needed.

  • Develop actional plans to ensure that both internal and external end-users complete necessary actions minimizing delays in VMD cycle time.

  • Collaborate with various market stakeholders to understand vendor master data requirements and resolve data-related issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional procurement teams to proactively address issues and initiatives.

  • Conduct root-cause analysis on master data integration issues collaborating with technical teams for swift resolutions.

  • Ensure vendor data policies and procedures are documented communicated and followed within the team ensuring periodic reviews of SOPs.

  • Perform SOX controls reports ensuring completeness and accuracy and timely reporting each month.

  • Support adhoc audit activities as required.

Required Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent

Required Years of Related Experience:At least 4 years

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in business Finance Accounting Logistics Engineering or a related field is required.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in Procurement Accounts Payable Finance Audit or related fields within a global organization including at least 1 year of experience with supplier or vendor setup and communication.

Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in team settings.

Preferred experience in data analysis and a strong track record of effective communication with various organizational levels.

Self-starter with robust planning coordination and delivery capabilities.

Proficient in MS Excel PowerPoint and Word; experience with Ariba Buyer software and SAP system is a plus.

Experience developing and maintaining macros (e.g. Excel VBA) to automate repetitive tasks is desirable.

Prior experience in a shared service center and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote business partners is preferred.
