Within the Sonova Group the Sennheiser Consumer Hearing Business (CHB) stands for world-leading audio innovation premium transducer technology and products that shape how millions of people experience sound. The Wedemark site is the home of Sennheisers electroacoustic development where more than 90 engineers and specialists work on next-generation headphones loudspeakers and transducer systems.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Sennheiser product development while gaining hands-on experience in acoustic measurement simulation and system analysis. Working in close collaboration with experienced Sennheiser engineers the role provides deep insights into electroacoustic design advanced R&D processes and the creation of audio technologies that set industry standards.
More about the role:
Development and refinement of software for automated loudspeaker parameter measurements
Execution of acoustic measurement series using transmission tubes and specialized equipment
Integration and improvement of measurement functionalities within Sennheisers loudspeaker test setups
Support in magnetic stray-field analyses and comparison with FEM-based simulations
Measurement of viscoelastic material properties using laser vibrometry
More about you:
Studies in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Physics Mechatronics or Materials Science (ideally from semester 4 onwards)
Availability of at least 20 weeks
Foundational knowledge in acoustics measurement systems numerical simulation or signal processing
Basic programming experience (MATLAB preferred); experience with COMSOL or other FEM tools is an advantage
Structured analytical and solution-oriented working style
Strong team orientation within interdisciplinary R&D environments
Confident English skills for collaboration in an international setting
