Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Location: Rochester NY 14621
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights 312 Hours 19:0007:00
Orientation: 16 hours

Position Overview
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced MICU Registered Nurse to join its critical care team. This role involves caring for high-acuity patients in a 16-bed Medical ICU with complex and intensive care needs. Travel nurses with strong critical care backgrounds and comfort working with advanced life-support technologies are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Licensure & Certifications
Active New York RN license in hand no exceptions
ACLS BLS NIHSS
Experience & Technical Skills
Strong background in medical ICU patient care
Required experience with the following critical care technologies:
CRRT
IABP
Impella
ECMO
Ability to manage high-acuity patients including:
Sepsis ARDS respiratory failure
Multi-organ failure
Postcardiac arrest/targeted temperature management
Renal failure heart failure
EKOS
Alcohol withdrawal & overdose cases
Comfortable with ratios of 1:2 and occasional 1:1 depending on acuity
Scheduling & Traveler Requirements
Every other weekend required
First-time travelers accepted
