About the Role
As an Industrial Disease Solicitor youll manage your own caseload of complex industrial disease claims with a particular focus on asbestos-related litigation. Youll work alongside a dedicated team of specialists providing expert legal advice to clients who have suffered life-changing injuries through workplace exposure. Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of industrial disease claims including asbestos-related diseases (mesothelioma asbestosis lung cancer) and other occupational illnesses
Conduct thorough investigations legal research and prepare court documents and pleadings
Negotiate settlements with defendants and insurers to achieve optimal outcomes for clients
Provide high-quality legal advice and representation throughout the litigation process
Build and maintain strong client relationships delivering exceptional levels of client care
Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and paralegals within the Industrial Disease team
Contribute to business development initiatives identifying growth opportunities and supporting marketing activities
Essential Requirements
Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a current practising certificate
Minimum 2 years PQE in Industrial Disease litigation (asbestos-related claims experience highly desirable)
Proven track record of successfully managing complex industrial disease cases from inception to conclusion
Strong technical knowledge of personal injury law limitation periods and relevant case law
Excellent client care skills with the ability to handle sensitive and emotional cases with empathy
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
Ability to supervise and develop junior team members
Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
