Join Our Team as Lifeguard in Anna OH!
Whether youre a student looking for a flexible side job a retiree wanting to stay active and involved or anywhere in between HealthFitness has a great opportunity for you! Were hiring an as-needed Lifeguard (# of hours depends on demand) with Saturday availability. Weekday shifts (MonFri) are also be available.

Facility Hours: 9:30 AM 5:30 PM

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system databases and tools.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. (remove if drug screen not required at client site)

All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:

• 500 yard swim.
• Active Passive Submerged rescues.
• Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
• Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.
