Responsibilities
The Monitor Technician Intern works under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) or experienced Monitor Tech learning how to analyze and interpret rhythm strips provide on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provide RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.
Qualifications
- High school diploma equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
PREFERRED
- Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy/physiology and medical terminology.
- Previous health care experience.
