Job Summary

Doubletree by Hilton San Diego-Mission Valley is seeking an Assistant Director of F&B to support a fantastic team. The property has 32000 sq. ft of meeting space 300 guest rooms and three restaurant oversight of the restaurant operations kitchen and banquet operations this role will support the entirety of the F&B team.

Windows Café offers buffet and à la carte breakfast options. Lounge 72 features sleek decor and pool views serving a mix of small plates and entrees. Café Pronto is the place to grab on-the-go bites and Starbucks coffee.

Salary: $78000-$86000 a year dependent on experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least three years of experience in a Food and Beverage manager role

  • Experience supporting an operation that generates at least $3 million in revenue annually.

  • Experience in forecasting and budgeting

  • Hotel experience is preferred but not required.

  • Flexible and open availability

An Assistant Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for assisting in the direction and organization of activities and services of all hotel food and beverage outlets (restaurants lounges room service coffee shops etc.) in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.


What will I be doing

As an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage you would be responsible for assisting in the direction and organization of activities and services of all hotel food and beverage outlets (restaurants lounges room service coffee shops etc.) in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist in the management of all Food and Beverage operations to include but not limited to guest service food and beverage quality inventory management outlet reservations and occupancy systems management budget and forecasting marketing report generation department management and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include but not limited to providing supervision and professional development scheduling conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Develop and implement menus and food and beverage marketing strategies in partnership with the Director and the culinary team
  • Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with health safety sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Recruit interview and train team members
