The Clinical Co-Op Experience is designed to help the high school students understand what happens from the time a specimen is collected to when the sample is analyzed to reporting those results out to the care teams. There are two opportunities available:
Geisingers medical laboratory team is excited to welcome interested students to learn more about the types and varieties of testing that happen in medical laboratories. This experience will open the door to traditionally unseen spaces including microbiology hematology toxicology coagulation anatomic pathology and more! This experience will show how automated semi-automated and manual testing are used to provide data to providers to diagnose treat and monitor patients.
