Advisors on the Donor Services team are responsible for cultivatingand enhancing relationships withprospectiveand current fundholders providing an unmatched level of personal engagement and customer service and helping the Omaha Community Foundation assistfundholdersin achieving their philanthropic goals effectively efficiently and with a lasting impact. Qualifications:
:
- Bachelors degree in public administration business management finance or a related field*
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a client relationship management role
- A background in financial planning charitable planning trusts and estates customer service marketingsalesand/or business development
- Ability to deliver high-quality customized service to clients and partners while staying current on philanthropic best practices and trends
- Experience managing a portfolio developing engaging and communicating with dynamic networks of diverse individuals to deepen relationships
- Ability to conduct detailed research and distill meaningful summaries. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint; CRM database experience
- Willingness and ability to work as a team member with colleagues and external partners
- Must possess a valid drivers license reliable transportation and current insurance
Preferred:
- Detail-oriented andaccurate with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability toleveragetechnology and integrate data in meaningful ways
- Additionaldegree or credentialsuch as a Masters JD Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP)
- Comfort and experience with public speaking and facilitation
*A combination of relevant education and previous experience may be considered in lieu of the defined educational requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Provide account management support to a portfolio of fundholders and serve as a charitable advisor providing tailored services including grantmaking charitable planning and legacy giving. Plan and coordinate fundholder meetings creating stewardship plans to support short and long-term charitable goals.
- Plan and execute educational sessions for current Foundation fundholders on aspects of charitable giving that impact tax and estate planning. Offer expert guidance and recommendations to help fundholders support organizations in our community and beyond while honoring their donor intent.
- Become well-versed in OCFs products and services including charitable giving tools funds and resources for fundholders and professional advisor partners.
- Assist the program director with implementing programs to cultivate relationships with professional advisors and other prospect groups to grow gifts and new funds for the Foundation. Assist in establishing and creating funds at the Foundation through lifetime and planned gifts.
- Facilitate new account acquisitions fundholder relationships and account retention specifically in relation to our corporate fundholders.
- Strengthen the relationship between OCF and the Omaha professional community. Actively represent OCF at local events conferences and seminars.
- May be required to complete other duties within scope as assigned.
Environment:
The primary work locationis1120 S. 101stStreetin Omaha Nebraska. This role is expected to work in the office with the occasional flexibility to work from home.
