EY Lead Advisory Strategy and Transactions-SaTAssociate Manager

As part of our EY Lead Advisory team you will provide tactical and strategic advice to clients and help them grow inorganically or realize synergies through acquisitions enter new geographical markets sell or separate existing business raise new capital (debt and equity) or restructure existing capital. The assistance ranges from pre-deal to closing a deal including originating or identifying buy side or sell side M&A opportunities/debt advisory opportunities preparing client discussion materials capital structure analysis market update developing marketing collaterals board presentations amongst others. The client base spans across industries and includes mid-sized corporates multinational investors Private Equity firms and family offices.

The opportunity

Were looking for Managers with expertise in Investment Banking- Debt Capital Markets to join our EY Lead Advisory Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a dynamic team.

Your key responsibilities

• As a member of the sector practice at GDS Lead Advisory the person would be providing Transaction Advisory services to Global SaT leaders
• Responsible for leading client interactions delivery and relationship building with SaT Global Sector leaders
• Work across the entire M&A / debt raise lifecycle from deal origination to closure including debt screening proposals request for proposals pitch books debt profiles capital structure industry research credit memos lender presentations financial model term sheets etc.
• Manage a team of2-3 people. Act as a counsellor for team members. Identify L&D requirements of counselees
• Measure monitor and improve client service by closely collaborating with the client and guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery
• Focus teams on the key priorities while working on and managing several medium-size projects
• Ensure smooth service delivery within the defined geographical area
• Ensure that team members deliver quality service as per clients needs and priorities
• Partner with internal and external clients to improve processes
• Work with project leaders to analyse resource needs and gaps across locations and devisealternative ways forward
• Assign people to projects based on their skills career goals and clients expectations
• Provide team members with accurate and useful guidance in technical areas of high risk andcomplexity
• Participate in goal setting performance appraisal and management of counselees
• Travel on assignments abroad as required

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong exposure working in a Transaction (debt capital markets) Advisory or Corporate Finance environment
• Strong research experience in a DCM or Fixed income research environment
• Expertise in preparing capital structure analysis lender presentations Industry research credit analysis and credit rating term sheets and debt market update
• Have good knowledge of debt market debt instruments and capital structure
• Strong financial research and analytical skills
• Good communication skills - both written and verbal
• Have good knowledge of research databases like Capital IQ Bloomberg Refinitiv Loan connector Reuters etc.
• Be proficient to search/source right information from relevant sources
• Manage own time to budgets and communicate progress against plan
• Actively promote the sharing of knowledge within the group
• Be organized and structured in the completion of tasks
• Contribute pro-actively to building team spirit

To qualify for the role you must have

• MBA or PG Diploma in Finance or Post Graduate Diploma in Finance or CFA - Level 3 passed or CA

Ideally youll also have

• Exposure to tools like VBA PowerBI Thinkcell Crimson Hexagon etc will be an added advantage
