Hanes Companies in Winston Salem NC is seeking anAssistant Controller. Hanes is a division of Leggett & Platt Inc. (NYSE: LEG) and has over 50 locations in North America. Our products are most commonly found in building products automotive filtration furniture and mattress manufacturing and construction. Hanes parent company is Leggett & Platt Inc. a diversified manufacturer. Leggett & Platt has 120 manufacturing facilities in 18 countries.
Qualified applicants will demonstrate a working understanding of full cycle distribution business. Major areas of responsibility include detailed margin analyses by product lines and customers operational variance analyses financial planning analysis and forecasting for responsible branches being a strategic business partner with the operations sales and executive leadership teams. Applicants will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Strategic planning
• Preparation and presentation of financial information to key stakeholders
• Financial planning and modeling
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Internal negotiations with sales purchasing finance and credit
• Ensuring adequacy of internal controls and GAAP compliance
• Financial due diligence for acquisitions
• Support of operations and management with information vital to decision making
• Assist when needed to resolve operational issues

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelors degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience preferably in a full cycle distribution business environment. Public accounting experience an advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.
