Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm EST

Our client is a professional medical-legal services provider ensuring accurate timely and compliant handling of patient records and billing information for attorneys and insurance companies.
About the Role:
The Medical Records & Billing Assistant is responsible for retrieving updating and maintaining patient medical records and billing information. This role ensures all documents are accurately uploaded to appropriate systems and shared with attorneys and insurance companies in a timely and HIPAA-compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve organize and maintain patient medical records.
- Update records and ledgers accurately.
- Upload medical records and ledgers to Mighty for attorney access.
- Prepare and send closing care letters to attorneys via fax or email as required.
- Fax medical records to insurance companies upon request following HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with other clerical or administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience in medical records billing or administrative support is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
- Proficiency with document management systems (experience with Mighty is a plus).
- Reliable efficient and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Interview Process:
- Initial screening call with Somewhere team
- Skills and experience assessment via interview with hiring manager.
- Final discussion on workflow and compliance understanding.

- This role is best suited for someone highly organized detail-oriented and efficient.
- Candidates must be able to manage sensitive information with discretion.
