To be certain whether food is safe to sell in the supermarket or whether someone is carrying dangerous substances in the airport samples are taken to the lab for verification. These tests normally require much time effort and money in order to take measurements in the lab.
Next Generation Sensors aims to bring the lab to the sample instead by developing the Spotdetect and the Chemcorder. Both devices are applied to tackle many of todays global issues. So is the Spotdetect a solution for food safety and maintaining food quality. While the Chemcorder device brings the lab to crime scene for rapid drug detection. This makes it an effective option for airport security and police for combating global drug trade.
Both devices are portable mass spectrometers that take samples within minutes on the spot. With its user-friendly interface the devices will be usable for everyone without prior training. Both devices have recently entered the market which promises an interesting period. We work in a small yet growing team of various nationalities and disciplines.
We are looking for an enthusiastic supply chain intern. Together with a new team you will help plan create and implement a completely new supply chain management system for the company. Ensuring productive realistic and efficient flow from order to delivery. Gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing high-tech company shaping supply chain processes from the ground.
Tasks
- Building an implementation of a supply chain management system.
- Assist in coordinating and optimising our supply chain and logistics processes.
- Support inventory management and order fulfilment activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of components and materials.
- Analyse and report on supply chain performance metrics.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in Supply Chain Management Logistics Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Proactive detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Interest in technology innovation and scientific instruments is highly desirable.
