Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will oversee clerical activities and provide support for non-nursing administrative functions within the department. This role includes assisting in supervision and training of secretarial staff serving as a liaison to internal and external personnel and maintaining department records and manuals. The position requires initiative strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Note: This role is open only to U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of prior healthcare experience. Please apply only if you meet these requirements.
Responsibilities:

Manage clerical tasks and provide general administrative support.

Assist with supervision and training of secretarial staff.

Serve as the primary contact for contractors and department staff regarding departmental activities.

Process purchase orders and assist with budget preparation and monitoring.

Facilitate correspondence and maintain accurate records.
-
Maintain department manuals and other essential documentation.

Perform secretarial functions including screening calls typing filing and gathering data for reports.
-
Record minutes during departmental meetings.

Provide support to the nurse/department manager by acting as a resource for departmental operations.
Qualifications:

High school graduate; completion of at least one year of college or business school with training in secretarial procedures.

5 years of healthcare experience required.

Familiarity with hospital or healthcare procedures and medical terminology preferred.

Strong secretarial skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Fluency in English is required.

Must be U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
