Remote Construction Project Manager Job Description
Permanent Day shift
Full time 40 hours per week
VA Rate : 10-12$ AUD per hour
Overview
The Construction Project Manager oversees all phases of construction projects
from planning to handoverensuring they are completed safely on time within
budget and according to quality standards. This role coordinates contractors
suppliers engineers architects and clients while ensuring compliance with
building codes and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Major: Build System in the Backend for a construction Company
1. Project Planning & Pre-Construction
- Review project scope drawings specifications and client requirements.
- Prepare project timelines manpower forecasts cost estimates and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects engineers and consultants for design and technical clarifications.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Secure necessary permits and approvals.
2. Construction Execution & Coordination
- Manage day-to-day construction operations on-site.
- Supervise contractors subcontractors foremen and labor teams.
- Allocate manpower materials and equipment efficiently.
- Ensure construction progresses according to schedule and plans.
- Conduct regular site meetings and toolbox talks.
3. Quality & Safety Management
- Enforce safety protocols in compliance with local building codes and OH&S
standards. - Perform regular inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet quality requirements.
- Identify and resolve construction issues promptly.
- Implement QA/QC processes and ensure adherence to design specifications.
4. Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor project expenses labor hours and material usage.
- Manage change orders and variations with proper documentation.
- Prevent cost overruns by forecasting needs and controlling purchases
- Approve supplier invoices and progress claims.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of site activities incidents progress and inspections.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
- Track project milestones and provide updates on timelines and risks.
- Ensure all project documents are updated organized and filed.
6. Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary contact for clients consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Lead coordination meetings to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management
Architecture or related field. - 37 years experience in construction project management (depending on seniority).
- Experience with residential commercial or industrial projects is an advantage.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and standards.
- Proficient in project management software (MS Project PrimaveraProcore) and CAD tools.
- Excellent leadership coordination and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints structural drawings and specifications.
Certifications (Preferred)
PMP CCM or equivalent construction management certification.
OH&S Safety Certification.
Local contractor license (if required in your region).
