We are hiring a Senior Healthcare Assistant for one of the best Nursing Homes in Co Drogheda who is passionate about improving the quality of life of their residents and places a strong importance on social physical and mental stimulation.
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of high-quality holistic care to residents ensuring their dignity and equality are upheld at all times.
Perform allocated and delegated tasks related to direct care and activities of daily living including personal care (washing toileting dressing/undressing) mealtime assistance social engagement communication support and other daily routines.
Maintain and promote residents privacy dignity and independence.
Provide focused assistance to residents with limited mobility.
Understand and follow residents care plans and promptly notify nursing staff of any changes in their physical or mental condition.
Immediately report any incident or potential risk that could affect the health and safety of residents or visitors.
Help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents staff and visitors.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents and their families or representatives.
Support and contribute to the planning and delivery of meaningful resident activities and events.
Requirements
Minimum of a partial QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare or an equivalent qualification
Experience working in elder care
Strong communication skills
Proficient in delivering high-quality personal care
Must be eligible to work in Ireland
A Nursing Degree Allied Health Degree or another relevant healthcare qualification
