Position Title: Tax & Business Advisory Accountant
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Canberra
Hourly Pay Rate: Competitive salary package (negotiable based on experience)
Security Clearance/Requirements: Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
ABOUT THE ROLE
A dynamic and well-established accounting firm is seeking an enthusiastic Tax & Business Advisory Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries and business structures. You will be involved in year-end compliance financial reporting and a range of tax and business advisory projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with 25 years experience who is currently completing or has recently completed their Chartered Accountant qualification.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare financial statements balance sheets and reports for presentation to leadership and clients
Analyse financial data and provide taxation and business advisory recommendations
Prepare income tax returns across a variety of entity types
Build strong client relationships through regular communication and service delivery
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members
Contribute to both compliance and consulting projects across the practice
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
25 years experience within tax and business advisory
CA qualification completed or in progress
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High level of professionalism and attention to detail
Curious mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and development
Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
ELIGIBILITY
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to client engagement requirements
