SUMMARY: This position will primarily be responsible for supportive clerical functions such as managing a working database filing maintaining files working with the CFS/ICWA staff to keep a calendar of court hearings and filing court orders in other jurisdictions when needed. Coordinates communication with families and the CFS/ICWA department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Will maintain the CFS/ICWA working database updating on a regular basis while preserving and protecting the database.
- Acts as a liaison between State and Tribal during child welfare proceedings and subsequent transfer of jurisdiction.
- Acts as a qualified expert witness for clients when requested.
- Will be responsible to complete and submit any reports to applicable courts agencies and programs as directed.
- Schedules and participates in Family Team Meetings with all families.
- Works closely with the tribal CFS/ICWA staff and other tribal programs to ensure supportive services are available for the CFS/ICWA children and families.
- Works closely with the DHHS departments and other outside agencies to ensure supportive services are available for the CFS/ICWA children and families.
- Works closely with the Family Resource Specialist to obtain information for possible placements when needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years experience in social work sociology counseling guidance psychology child development or related field.
- Minimum of two years experience in foster parent training or related field.
- Associates Degree in related field or Bachelors degree in any of the fields listed above.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS:
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Valid Drivers License and insurable by Tribal insurance
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
- Have some knowledge of NFOCUS
- Knowledge of the community and resources
- Ability to follow policies & procedures
- Confidentiality acknowledgement
