Job Description Summary
The Enabling Functions & Consulting Services Finance Leader will be responsible for closely partnering with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) leaders and the Consulting Services business leader to support activities and priorities of their organization. The candidate will be accountable for managing over $1B of functional costs across GE Vernova Corporate and $40M of revenue in Consulting Services with direct ownership for those Corporate costs and strategic influence of the Consulting Services businesses. Activities owned include costs visibility budgeting forecasting planning closing and reporting as well as partnering on supplier terms and contracts to optimize costs for Vernova HQ. Additionally as the finance leader for Consulting Services this leader will partner with the Consulting Services business leader and their team in leading a finance team to provide accurate and timely financials transparent forecasting commercial support and strategic partnership.
The role will report into the Corporate HQ Finance Leader.

Essential Responsibilities
Enabling Functions Finance Leader
Enabling Functions refers to GE Vernova Corporate functional cost including our CEO office and admin and other HQ-specific costs (such as insurance and executive compensation) but excludes Digital Technology costs.
- Lead Enabling Functions Finance supporting the GE Vernova ELT in navigating across multiple sources of cost information.
- Assess functional cost management and reporting capabilities identify key areas for enhancement or remediation and implement improvements in partnership with DT finance leader and Corporate FP&A team.
- Develop strong operational partnerships within the Corporate functions to achieve financial and strategic objectives for GE Vernova. Partner with those leaders to coordinate and drive the execution of finance activities including quarterly forecasting annual budgeting pacing close and reporting activities and other ad-hoc requests. Prepare detailed variance analysis and manage the gap between actuals and forecasts.
- Along with ELT leaders and their staff develop clear operating rhythms and communications that enable:
- Senior Leadership engagement and support for functional priorities
- Clarity of expectations with functional teams regarding priorities key deliverables and timing
- KPIs measurement efficient problem solving and issue resolution
- Perform and coordinate project-based financial analysis and modelling to support strategic negotiations investments or priorities for functional leaders.
- Provide inputs to GE Vernova Corporate cost allocation process and work with functional leaders to drive transparency and continuous improvement to this process
- Foster strong working professional relationships with contributing organizations such as ELT executives and their staff Vernova Total Company FP&A team Sourcing controllership and financial systems teams.
- Drive standard work around finance processes and continuous improvement projects through lean methodologies tools and concepts.
Consulting Services Finance Leader
- The Consulting Services finance leader will be responsible for driving rigor in budgeting pacing closing and reporting. This leader will be expected to lead a team to drive the financial processes to pace plan and report orders revenue and cost ensuring accuracy in the results.
- The finance leader and their team are expected to drive ledger-based reporting to link financial results with the underlying business structure providing meaningful insights into financial performance at various levels of the organization.
- This leader will also be expected to execute and enhance the FP&A capabilities and analytics in around actuals and forecasting.
- This individual will partner with the CS leadership to set and drive long range objectives and will be expected to coordinate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with the overall business strategy. This includes participating in strategy sessions providing financial insight and recommendation and modelling financial forecasts. The finance leader will be responsible for developing and owning these financial forecasts and use them to provide insights and serve as a challenge function when reviewing business decisions.
- Periodically the finance leader will collaborate with the CS leadership team to identify strategic imperatives and investment needs conducting thorough analysis to support decision-making and resource allocation.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- OFLP FMP CAS or other GE leadership program experience preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience and progressive responsibility in FP&A or Cost Management
- Proven experience leading a team of four or more people
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
- Prior experience in GE Vernova; experience with relevant areas in scope in Corporate is a plus.
- Strong financial analysis background with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Strong management skills and demonstrated capability to influence cross-functionally. Demonstrated ability to anticipate identify and resolve complex financial issues.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify existing processes and establish repeatable routines and reporting as standard work.
- Ability to effectively lead in a matrixed and virtual team environment working through the extended lean teams and cross functional teams to accomplish objective.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $147400.00 and $245600.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.
