Job Summary

Position Summary:

Under the oversight of the government they will administer the TBICOE program for TBI surveillance (describing incidence and prevalence of TBI in the military) in order to better define the scope of TBI in the military. They will facilitate the collection of quality data from various agencies and generate reports and briefings accordingly.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides analytical support for the TBICOE program for TBI surveillance.
  • Facilitates the collection of quality data from various agencies.
  • Coordinates meetings as needed with the Service POCs and other agencies for TBI
  • surveillance.
  • Under the guidance of HQ TBICOE assists in the preparation of surveillance requests from Health Affairs and other surveillance related request.
  • Independently generates reports and briefings as requested by leadership.

Qualifications :

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications SPSS tableau or any statistical package.
  • Perform statistical analyses database management.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Experience working in a military environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of epidemiology and medical terminology preferred.
  • They must adhere to legal professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy.

Minimum Education/Training Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences preferred.
  • Must complete CITI/ HIPAA training.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years work in a research or healthcare environment.
  • Prior experience within the DoD/VA systems of care strongly preferred.

Physical Capabilities:

  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time

Supervisory Responsibilities/Controls:

  • May supervise support staff.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment. Must be available to travel locally regionally and nationally.
