This position is in Cargills protein and salt business where we provide wholesome high-quality food products to a wide range of customers from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Shift(s) Available: Afternoon
Compensation: $43.86

Key Accountabilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
- Preform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment safely while abiding by all policies & procedures
- Follow company policies (performance safety etc.)
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pneumatic and electrical equipment.
- Perform administrative tasks including completing permits parts ordering and work order completion.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
- Ability to perform physical job duties which include lifting up to 50lbs climb ladders and kneeling.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics wiring diagrams and P&IDs
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley hardware: Drives PLCs HMIs
- Solid understanding of industrial control systems and automation principles.
- Must have own transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a plant or production environment (manufacturing processing or similar)
- Basic commercial construction experience (conduit installation panel wiring lighting)
- Familiarity with networking basics (Ethernet/IP DeviceNet)
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration
- Ability to work different shifts and overtime if required.
