AI Engineer

Primary Duties:

Design and build Gen AI and Standard AI solutions employing the most up to date concepts in the field.

Apply solid Data Engineering concepts where applicable in the creation of AI solutions.

Apply domain expertise and innovative ideas to design solutions.

Identify customer needs and understand business goals to envisage the high-level solution.

Design and build scalable AI solutions considering ethics security performance and cost optimisation.

Keep abreast of the latest advances in cloud computing applicable to AI and Data Engineering.

Work collaboratively with other teams and business areas.

Skills and Experience Required:

(4Years of experience):

Strong understanding of end-to-end AI Solutions and modern Data Engineering.

RAG Model Distillation Model Fine Tuning.

Strong experience building Agentic AI solutions.

Prompt Engineering.

Strong experience with LangChain and LangGraph Frameworks.

Strong understanding of ML concepts and methodologies.

Advanced Python programming.

Strong understanding of LLMs and their capabilities and how to evaluate them.

Applying Responsible/Ethical AI controls.

Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.

AWS Cloud computing.

Knowledge of platform-specific AI/ML services (e.g. Kubeflow AWS Bedrock. AWS Comprehend)

DevOps applied to the delivery of AI solutions.

Unit testing.

Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g. Kubernetes).

Proficiency in designing APIs and backend services.

Automation design and implementation.

Cloud security

Location and Contract Term: This role is based in Canberra Adelaide Brisbane Melbourne or Sydney. 12 month contract with 2x12-month extension options pending budget and delegate approval.

Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain
