Location: On-site in Manhattan NY. Youll work from a centrally located New York City office easily commutable from Manhattan Brooklyn Queens the Bronx Staten Island and nearby cities like Jersey City and Newark via public transit.

Note: You must be licensed to practice law in New York have solid civil litigation experience (ideally including discovery motion practice and depositions) and be able to work on-site full-time in Manhattan with occasional travel.

Job Description

• Serve as a Senior Associate Attorney handling wage-and-hour employment and consumer class and representative actions in New York state and federal courts
• Lead and manage all phases of complex civil litigation including pleadings discovery motion practice depositions mediation and trial preparation
• Draft edit and argue substantive motions including dispositive and class-related motions in state and federal courts
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs defendants fact witnesses and experts and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony
• Develop and execute litigation strategy in collaboration with firm leadership and junior team members
• Appear in court regularly for hearings conferences and other proceedings representing clients with confidence and professionalism
• Mentor and support junior attorneys and staff helping to build a strong New York practice and office culture
• Travel occasionally for hearings depositions mediations and firm-related needs

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York (NY Bar in good standing required)
• Several years of civil litigation experience preferably 5 years including discovery motion practice and taking/defending depositions
• Prior experience with class actions complex litigation and/or wage-and-hour/employment cases strongly preferred
• Excellent legal research writing and oral advocacy skills with a strategic mindset and attention to detail
• Proven ability to independently manage complex cases and a busy litigation calendar
• Professional steady work history and strong client-facing skills
• Positive team-oriented attitude and an interest in helping build and grow a high-performing New York office
