About us
At Dyson we are focused on solving the problems that others have ignored; solving them first using our technology and order to achieve this we need to pioneer technologies that are different and authentic. This is the core of what we do focusing on Research Design and Development (RDD). The team is involved in developing new technologies into Dyson product specifically product performances such as Acoustics Fluid Dynamics Structural Thermal etc. We work globally to tackle complex engineering problems and create inventive solutions.
About the role
Dysons Technology & Systems Integration team delivers research and development activities to keep Dyson ahead in technology and insight. You will be working in different product range to support the development of new knowledge technologies and insights on product acoustics performance. Some of your tasks may include testing simulating and evaluating prototypes against acoustics requirements; conceptualizing developing and proposing design changes to optimize performance. Also you may be creating analytic tools and/or models that could help to make analysis lean or solve specific problems developing test methods to verify product performance using a systems engineering approach to develop our products or gathering already available data to analyze and find out the root cause of a problem then using this to solve the problem.
You will work closely with engineers and technical experts from across RDD learning and applying new technical knowledge.
About you
Currently studying Mechanical Aerospace Acoustics Material Engineering or a related field
Eager to solve challenging engineering problems
Familiar with tools and methods for characterizing how structures perform
Experience using CAD CAE or statistical analysis tools
Proactive enthusiastic and great at working both independently and within a team to tackle tough challenges
Working for us
Our internship programme connects academic theory with practical experience. Gain valuable insights into professional applications through mentorships with our industry-leading experts and exposure to cutting-edge practices.
For the duration of your internship you will have regular performance conversations as well as opportunities for development to enable you to build your reputation within the wider team and well be looking to offer our high performing interns the opportunity to return on our graduate programme.
