Project Title:

Easy Jig for CMP Wafer Handing Clearance Check

Project Objective:

This project aims to design a userfriendly measurement jig that enables line operators to accurately check wafer handling and waferto-tool clearance. The solution should provide a simple consistent and reliable method for measuring wafer handling clearance thereby reducing preventive maintenance (PM) time and improving overall wafer quality.

Project Description:

Collaborate with Equipment Engineering (EE) to identify all critical locations that require wafertotool clearance checks.
Develop and define a measurement jig to enable consistent and accurate clearance verification eliminating reliance on rulers or visual estimation.
Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) detailing the correct usage calibration and maintenance of the measurement jig.
Work jointly with external vendors on the design and fabrication of the jig to ensure it meets engineering and operational requirements.

Project Outcome:

Reduce wafer scratches during transfer improve PM quality and shorten the PM duration.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent technical field
