Job Title: Chief Manufacturing Officer/ VP Manufacturing

Reporting to: Managing Director
About the Role:
The Head of Manufacturing will lead end-to-end manufacturing operations including plant management advanced technology integration procurement new product development (NPD) and warehousing & distribution. This role ensures superior product quality durability cost efficiency and optimized resource utilization while embedding good manufacturing practices across all operations. The incumbent will drive automation operational excellence and supply chain efficiency to meet market demands and accelerate product innovation and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Management :
- Lead all plant operations to achieve highest productivity safety quality and compliance standards.
- Optimize resource planning including manpower machinery and materials to maximize asset utilization.
- Manage budgets costs and capital expenditure with a focus on cost efficiency and ROI.
- Develop and nurture a safety-first culture ensuring compliance with health safety environmental and labour laws.
- Drive capacity planning layout optimization and preventative maintenance to maximize plant uptime and Productivity
- Talent development and employee engagement across the plant teams.
Manufacturing & Finishing Excellence :
- Oversee manufacturing operations with a focus on flawless finishing high durability and consistent quality.
- Implement lean manufacturing Six Sigma TPM 5S and continuous improvement practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Standardize shop floor processes monitor KPIs and enforce corrective actions for defects or inefficiencies.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across all operations.
Technology & Innovation :
- Drive adoption of automation digital SOPs smart manufacturing and analytics to improve efficiency quality and asset utilization.
- Collaborate with R&D on new finishing technologies durability testing tools and scalable manufacturing solutions.
New Product Development (NPD) :
- Integrate manufacturability finishing and durability standards into product design early in development.
- Support prototype testing and scale-up for successful product launches.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering / Polymer Chemical (preferably from IIT) or related field. MBA would be an added advantage.
- 20 years of leadership experience spanning manufacturing plant management technology and product development.
- In-depth expertise in finishing techniques durability testing lean manufacturing automation supply chain.
- Proven skills in operational leadership cost management productivity optimization and stakeholder collaboration.

- Demonstrated expertise in plant and operations management with focus on automation cost quality and productivity.
- Skilled in lean processes technology-driven improvement and sourcing strategies.
- Ability to foster a culture of safety innovation continuous improvement and collaboration.
