Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Android Firmware (AOSP) Engineer to work on platform-level development for infotainment and embedded systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AOSP framework internals HAL development system configuration and debugging CTS/VTS issues.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design develop and customize Android AOSP Framework for embedded and infotainment platforms.
- Work on Android HAL layers Board Configs Device Tree overlays and system-level configurations.
- Integrate and customize Android components including services frameworks and native layers.
- Analyze debug and resolve CTS/VTS compliance issues to ensure platform certification readiness.
- Work closely with hardware middleware and UI teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement and maintain SEPolicy rules system permissions and platform security configurations.
- Optimize system performance memory usage and boot time on embedded Android systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform bring-up debugging and feature enhancements.
- Prepare documentation and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
Required Skills
- 5-10 years of experience in Android Framework / AOSP development.
- Strong programming skills in Java and C/C (C/C is an added advantage).
- Hands-on experience with:
- Android HAL development
- AOSP architecture & system internals
- SEPolicy system configs and board configuration files
- Experience in analyzing and fixing CTS / VTS issues.
- Good understanding of boot processes system services and platform debugging tools (ADB Logcat GDB Dumpsys etc.).
- Experience in infotainment or automotive domain (preferred).
