Duties & Responsibilities

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for operational excellence in a fast-paced mining environment Our client a leading mining company based in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Operational Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare analyze and present accurate and timely monthly management reports and financial statements.
Shared Services Exposure: Collaborate with group shared services to ensure efficient processing of transactions and compliance with company policies.
Treasury Management: Manage cash flow banking relationships and short-term funding to support operational and capital requirements.
Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze production costs identify variances and provide insights to enhance operational efficiency.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting processes ensuring accuracy and alignment with ERP system data.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bcom Accounting degree
Articles would be preferred
3-5 years of experience in an accounting role
Mining manufacturing construction types of industry exposure
MS Office and Excel is essential for the role
