Hybrid:This role is categorized ashybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Technical Center in Warren MI or Mountain View CA office three times per week at minimum.

As a Senior Group Product Manager you will build and lead a team of product managers that define and drive our ecosystem of technical solutions for large scale model training to drive the advancement of autonomous vehicle solutions. This role willownthe roadmap for how we prepare track and manage our model training work to maximize productivity and efficiency.Your team will develop solutions forlarge scaletraining andmachine learningengineer workflows.This role requires collaboration with data scientists engineers and stakeholders as well as a deep understanding of the ML lifecycle from data acquisition and training to performance evaluation and deployment.
Success requires strong technical judgment principled decision-making and the ability to build alignment across engineering infrastructure and finance teams. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity making tough tradeoffs and translating business needs into engineering priorities.
WhatYoullDo
Own the long-term product vision and roadmap for model training systems across GMs autonomous vehicle platform balancing engineering constraints business needs and data fidelity requirements.
Define strategies for how we address thedifferent stagesof ML training workflow
Act as the voice of autonomy and infrastructure customers ensuring that model training strategies support real-world development evaluation and fleet operations goals.
Proactivelyidentifygaps and tradeoffs in system performance data throughput developer productivity and lead initiatives to improve observability efficiency and control.
Drive ametrics-driven approach to decision-making by defining KPIs for training effectiveness developer productivity and cost efficiency.
Incorporate data research and market analysis to inform product strategies androadmaps
Establish and prioritize product requirements to solve critical business and customer problems.
Drive product development with world class software design and program management teams to achieve key milestones.
Define track and analyze key product metrics user feedback and performance data to measure success andidentifyimprovement areas.
Communicate product status and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Develop a team of experiencedproduct managers
Mentor and develop other product managers fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Stay updated onnew technologyand competitive products to drive continuous improvementanticipatethreats andidentifyrisks
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
10 years of product management or related industry experience.
5 years of managing teams
Proven experience withtechnicalproduct management and leading the entire product lifecycle from concept to introduction.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.
Excellent presentation abilities to drive a concrete vision and rally the team.
Technicalproficiencyin problem-solving with complex software solutions
Experience defining vision and strategy for softwareproducts
Exceptionalcommunication and leadership skills withthe ability to drive stakeholder buy-in.
Proven oral and written communication skills; ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to non-technicalpartners
Comfortable with complex and ambiguous problems and situations and adept atidentifyinga projectsrisks
Enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment where creative solutions are the norm.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Mastersor Doctorate degree in related field
Experience working with data scientists and AI/ML teams on software development tools pipelines andrelease
Experience fostering innovation and driving change in complexorganizations
Experience shipping hardware or AI driven consumer products
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.
The salary range for this role is $257400 to $393800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance job level and individual performance.
