Summary :
The Manager Clinical Support Services is responsible for the leadership and ongoing management of ThedaCare scheduling deployment processes and patient placement services. Coordinates and collaborates with leaders to strategically allocate resources across ThedaCare to optimize clinician throughput against patient throughput to improve responsiveness to patient needs. Provides strategic project management facilitation and continuous improvement opportunities to develop a staffing model scheduling/deployment practices and utilization of a software platform to enhance clinical outcomes.
Job Description:
This role is directly overseeing our House Supervisor department Direct Access and Staffing Resources. No big travel needed and will office out of Appleton.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Effectively manages team members in a manner consistent with ThedaCare policies and values. Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the department.
Is accountable for daily activities and work processes that result in quality outcomes.
Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
Upholds and models mission vision values and assists team members in understanding how their day to-day jobs contribute to ThedaCare strategy.
Develops quality improvement processes to include goals and performance measurements and leading teams to excellence.
Develops collaborative relationships with members of the care team and departments.
Ensures team members are properly trained and informed of procedures policies and processes that result in high reliability safety and quality outcomes.
Provides mentoring and opportunities for growth for team members to meet their professional goals.
Manages daily staffing plan to meet productivity standards and the needs of the patient. Works with the director to develop action plans related to budget and budget variances. Contributes to the preparation and implementation of the annual budget and collaborates when making decisions that have long-term impact on cost-effective care.
Demonstrates anticipates and proactively manages risks to prevent crises.
Provides strategic direction to maximize staffing resources by proactively consulting with leaders to manage FTE commitments schedule balance training needs of leaders and consistent utilization of ThedaCare policies and practices.
Anticipates patient flow and oversees patient placement from all points of entry and works in conjunction with physicians and leaders to prioritize admissions based on medical need.
Optimizes analytics to communicate actionable data influential to improving future staffing plans.
Oversees scheduling technology solutions and ensures optimal utilization to achieve system efficiencies. Participates in the research to resolve and improve new and existing functionality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of science degree in nursing
Five years of progressive responsibility in a healthcare setting
Three years of leadership experience to include leading teams and/or projects
Current Wisconsin RN Licensure
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing stooping walking bending pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of Fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties.
Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide nursing care
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to move throughout hospital departments and floors on a daily basis
Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock
Occasional high noise level in work environment
Possible exposure to communicable diseases hazardous materials and pharmacological agents
Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time
Transporting transferring positioning patients and/or equipment from one location to another; little likelihood for injury if proper body mechanics and procedures are followed
Occasional contact with aggressive and combative patients
Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space Use of computers throughout the work day
