Hybrid role in Jacksonville FL
Overview of responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents including correspondence pleadings and contracts.
- Manage the discovery process which involves organizing reviewing and producing documents as well as creating medical chronologies.
- Obtain review and summarize medical records bills and other essential materials for cases.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as necessary.
- Conduct legal research and summarize the findings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and calendars.
- Communicate professionally with clients courts opposing counsel and experts.
- Track and record billable hours according to firm guidelines.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with a preference for insurance defense experience.
- Experience creating medical chronologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel).
- Basic understanding of court procedures and administrative processes.
- Familiarity with lawsuit summaries litigation files and the maintenance of legal records.
- Strong proficiency in administrative tasks.
- Able to meet billing goals.
