Design Manager / Senior Coordinating Engineer Athlone (Pharma Project)

Our client a privately owned Tier 1 contractor renowned for delivering high-tech pharmaceutical and complex engineering projects is seeking a Design Manager (or Senior Coordinating Engineer) for a major pharmaceutical development in Athlone.

This is a key role within a project team known for technical excellence and collaborative working offering long-term career progression on some of Irelands most advanced builds.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design packages from concept to installation
Oversee design deliverables ensuring all reviews submittals and approvals are completed on time
Drive compliance with pharmaceutical cleanroom and regulatory standards
Manage design risk sequencing and constructability in partnership with the project management team
Engage effectively with consultants subcontractors specialist vendors and client representatives
Provide technical leadership on design queries quality matters and interface resolution

Requirements

5 years experience in design management design coordination or engineering leadership
Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design workflows (architectural structural MEP)
Experience on pharma industrial or high-tech projects is a strong advantage
Excellent communication organisation and problem-solving skills
