What youll be doing
- Leading the development and implementation of the Greatwell Homes Procurement Plan to ensure compliance with Procurement Act 2023 and delivery of value for money.
- Working closely with colleagues across the organisation to understand procurement needs and provide a proactive agile service.
- Monitoring business trends product availability and total spend to secure the best goods and services without compromising quality or delivery times.
- Researching new products and services that support the Corporate Plan.
- Updating procurement policies and procedures and co-ordinating e-tendering activity.
- Managing category and supplier performance including due diligence contract management and maintaining the preferred supplier list.
- Keeping procurement documentation up-to-date and easily accessible on the intranet and website.
- Maintaining the Contract Register and ensuring compliance with Financial Regulations and Contract Standing Orders.
- Building strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing and monitoring procurement-related risks and reporting to relevant teams.
- Acting as Lead Officer for Value for Money including maintaining the efficiency register and supporting the production of an up-to-date VFM statement.
- Attending internal and external meetings with suppliers and contractors.
- Supporting cross-team working and contributing to the delivery of the Corporate Plan.
About you
- Degree-level education or equivalent through relevant training/experience.
- Experience co-ordinating internal and external procurement activities.
- Experience working with Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contracts Regulations.
- Experience in project management delivering on time and to budget.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information.
- Strong project management capabilities.
