Job Summary

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Online Technical Support Engineer who will support our customer sales strategy by providing expert technical guidance on our suppliers products. You will handle technical requests from internal and external customers and deliver high-quality online support. The role involves collaborating with global teams and suppliers to identify new product and technology opportunities. You will also provide engineering insight that strengthens customer relationships and supports Avnet Silicas growth.

The Ideal Person:

  • Bachelor degree in Electronics or equivalent experience.

  • 2 years of working experience in a similar position.

  • Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines industry practices and standards acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.

  • Develops solutions to defined tasks typical assignments and projects. May be solved by the application of specialized foundational knowledge using existing approaches and solutions.

  • Work is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction although work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality.

  • Collaborates with immediate management and team members within the department or function.

  • Capable of analyzing and interpreting technical specifications to develop appropriate solutions.

What you will be doing:

  • Provides value added solutions for customers both internally and externally around our defined suppliers as part of the overall company strategy.

  • Interface with the companys supplier business units resource to identify technology and product opportunities where the company and supplier can collaborate on solutions development offerings.

  • Be part of our online technical service team managing technical requests coming from both internal and external customers to achieve outstanding customer service.

  • Provide design and engineering expertise to various development efforts within the group.

  • Interface with various global resources including marketing web FAEs sales supplier managers technical management and sales management to support deployment of the program globally where needed.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to Avnet management on technology applications and solutions that will differentiate Avnet and grow Avnet revenue and profitability.

  • Maintains and drives trending knowledge of products competitors technology and customers in the assigned supplier product market.

  • Identifies and maintains field supplier relationships to create demand for products and services.

  • Drives assigned product family thrust with the companys and suppliers local sales teams and customer by attending supplier meetings establishing sales and marketing programs in coordination with direct manager as applicable to increase assigned product knowledge for customers and company sales representatives.

  • Other duties as assigned.
