The Opportunity

Were seeking a passionate Trainer & Assessor in Procurement & Contracting to deliver the PSP50616 Diploma of Procurement and Contracting through a blend of online and in-person training.

This contractor role offers flexibility to manage your own schedule while delivering high-quality training. Youll work remotely with occasional travel for in-person delivery making it ideal for experienced self-motivated trainers who thrive with autonomy and variety.

What youll be doing

Your role will blend assessment delivery and genuine learner support:

  • Assessing student work with constructive feedback that builds confidence and competenceturning assessments into meaningful conversations that inspire growth
  • Delivering engaging online webinars that bring learning content to life and make complex procurement concepts accessible and practical
  • Providing personalised empathetic support via phone email and online platformsensuring every student feels seen heard and supported throughout their learning journey
  • Proactively reaching out to at-risk students to help them overcome barriers with creative solutions and encouragement
  • Developing tailored Learning Support Plans for students with diverse needs ensuring everyone has the opportunity to succeed
  • Collaborating with program and academic staff to continuously improve student outcomes and explore innovative delivery methods
  • Creating seamless supportive learning experiences in partnership with the UNE Partnerships team

About you

Essential Requirements:

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher qualification in Adult/Vocational Education)
  • Diploma in Procurement & Contracting or similar/equivalent
  • Proven experience delivering and assessing VET programs to individuals and groups
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and engagement strategies for online learners
  • Current relevant industry experience in Procurement & Contracting
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and preparing report submissions
  • Competency using Learning Management Systems (e.g. Moodle) and virtual classroom platforms (e.g. Zoom).
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise competing demands

Highly Valued:

  • Qualifications in Leadership & Management Government and/or Program Management
  • Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contracting
  • Experience working with State and Commonwealth Government Programs
