Lowell School is seeking a dynamic Guitar Instructor to work with students in grades K-8 starting in September. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education and skilled in playing and teaching guitar.. This position which begins in September works closely with the Director of After-School Music.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of music teaching experience
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic success
- Belief in the value of enrichment education for all children
Major Responsibilities:
- Selecting an age-appropriate repertoire
- Preparing students for performances
- Create dynamic lesson experiences to ensure students are challenged and inspired.
- Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all students
- Maintain complete and accurate records for attendance
- Develop and maintain genuine positive and consistent communication with parents.
